Samsung Launches 2026 Bespoke AI Laundry Combo In Australia

Samsung Australia has launched its 2026 Bespoke AI Laundry Combo locally, introducing what the company says is its largest all-in-one washer and dryer for the Australian market.

The appliance combines a 19.5kg washer with a 10kg heat-pump dryer in a single unit, aiming to simplify laundry routines by removing the need to transfer clothes between separate machines. The updated model builds on Samsung’s existing Bespoke AI laundry range with a focus on automation, energy efficiency and faster cycle times.

The new model includes an upgraded AI Wash & Dry+ cycle, Hybrid Heat Pump drying technology with a claimed 10-star energy rating, and a Super Speed setting capable of completing a wash-to-dry cycle in as little as 68 minutes under certain conditions.

Samsung Australia Director of Consumer Electronics Phil Gaut said the company’s research showed Australians are spending significant time on laundry each week, particularly during colder months.

“Our insights show that a third of Australians complete three or more loads of laundry each week, with washing demands expected to increase during the cooler months,” Gaut said.

“That’s why features designed to make everyday life easier are becoming increasingly important, from Auto Open Door+, which helps reduce lingering odours after a wash cycle, to hands-free Bixby voice commands that let users keep managing chores while multitasking, and AI Energy Mode, which can help reduce unnecessary household energy costs.”

The Super Speed cycle uses Samsung’s Speed Spray and Swirl+ Drum technology to improve detergent penetration and rinsing efficiency. Samsung has also added a Booster Heat Exchanger designed to improve drying performance through Heat Pump technology.

Energy management is another key focus of the new machine. Through Samsung’s SmartThings platform, AI Energy Mode can reduce energy use by up to 20 per cent during wash cycles and up to 10 per cent during drying cycles compared with the same cycles without AI Energy Mode enabled, according to Samsung. Users can also monitor power consumption and estimated electricity costs through the SmartThings app.

Samsung has expanded the AI capabilities of the machine with its upgraded AI Wash & Dry+ system. Multiple sensors analyse each load, detecting weight, fabric types and soil levels to automatically adjust water use, detergent levels and cycle settings. The system can identify five fabric types for smaller loads, including outdoor fabrics and denim.

The appliance also includes Auto Open Door+, which automatically opens the washer door after wash-only cycles and activates internal air circulation to help prevent odours from developing inside the drum.

Samsung has continued integrating its Bixby voice assistant into the Bespoke AI range. Users can control connected Samsung devices directly through the machine’s touchscreen display and issue conversational voice commands such as requesting a load be finished before a specific time or adding an extra rinse cycle.

Other returning features include Flex Auto Dispense, which stores enough detergent and softener for up to 22 loads, BubbleWash and BubbleSoak cleaning functions, and Samsung’s Less Microfiber Laundry cycle aimed at reducing microfiber release during washing.

Samsung said the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo will receive seven years of software updates across supported flagship products. The appliance also includes Samsung Knox security protection and remote troubleshooting support through Home Appliance Remote Management.

The 2026 Bespoke AI Laundry Combo is available now through Samsung’s online store and selected retailers nationwide with a recommended retail price of $4,999.
