Smeg Launches MultiGrill As All-in-one Kitchen Appliance For Modern Cooking

Smeg has introduced a new addition to its cooking lineup, unveiling a multi-purpose grill designed to handle a wide range of everyday meals in a single appliance.

The MultiGrill is positioned as a compact solution for home cooks who want flexibility without filling their kitchen with multiple devices. It combines several cooking functions into one unit, covering everything from breakfast dishes to evening meals and casual entertaining.

Powered by a 2000W system, the appliance uses built-in heating elements within its plates to deliver more even and consistent cooking. A high-heat setting allows temperatures to exceed 250 degrees, aimed at achieving a strong sear for meats and other foods.

The cooking surface features a ceramic coating that is free from PFAS, while removable parts can be placed in the dishwasher to simplify cleaning. Despite its range of functions, the unit is designed to take up minimal bench space.

Smeg has equipped the MultiGrill with interchangeable plates and a selection of preset programs, making it easier to switch between different types of cooking. Users can prepare items such as waffles, toasted sandwiches, grilled vegetables and meats without needing to manually adjust settings each time.

Temperature can be controlled independently within a range of 60 to 230 degrees, and the appliance offers three main cooking configurations. These include a standard contact grill, an oven-style setup with adjustable height levels, and an open BBQ-style mode suited to larger meals or entertaining.

Additional preset options provide recommended time and temperature settings, while manual controls allow users to adjust cooking conditions to suit their preferences.

The MultiGrill is now available in Australia in red, cream and black finishes, with a recommended retail price of $499.
