Italian appliance manufacturer Olimpia Splendid has expanded its presence in Australia and New Zealand with the release of a new premium heater lineup aimed at consumers seeking connected home technology, quieter operation and energy-efficient heating during the colder months.
The new Caldo Plus series, produced in Brescia in northern Italy, introduces four Wi-Fi-enabled panel heaters that combine smart controls with minimalist European styling and a focus on low-noise performance.
The range includes four models designed for varying room sizes and heating requirements. The entry-level Caldo Plus 10 WiFi delivers 1000W of heating power and carries a recommended retail price of $749. The 1500W Caldo Plus 15 WiFi is priced at $799, while the 2000W Caldo Plus 20 WiFi costs $849. The largest model, the 2400W Caldo Plus 24 WiFi, has an RRP of $899.

The company is positioning the heaters as a more design-focused alternative to conventional portable heating products, with slim profiles, clean finishes and flexible installation options intended to suit modern apartments and family homes.
Each model uses an aluminium monoblock heating element designed to distribute heat evenly throughout a room using natural airflow rather than fan-assisted systems. The approach allows the heaters to operate silently, making them suitable for bedrooms, home offices and shared living areas where noise can become an issue.
Temperature management is handled through an electronic thermostat capable of maintaining settings within 0.1 degrees Celsius. Users can adjust temperatures between 5°C and 30°C depending on room conditions and energy preferences.

The heaters also include several energy-saving functions aimed at reducing electricity usage during winter. These include ECO mode, adjustable power settings and an Open Window Detection feature that automatically switches the unit off when sudden temperature drops suggest a door or window has been left open.
All models can be controlled remotely through the OS Home mobile app, allowing users to schedule operation, adjust temperatures and manage settings away from home. Controls are also accessible through a panel located on the heater itself.
Olimpia Splendid has designed the range to work as either portable or permanent heating solutions. Each unit ships with wheels for freestanding use alongside wall-mount brackets for fixed installation.

Safety features include tip-over shut-off protection, overheating protection and child lock functionality. The heaters are also rated IP24 splash-proof, allowing them to be used in bathrooms and other moisture-prone areas.
The Caldo Plus range has received Sensitive Choice approval, indicating suitability for people living with allergies or asthma. The natural convection heating system is designed to minimise the circulation of dust and airborne particles compared with some forced-air heating products.
Additional features include a programmable countdown timer that can be set between one and 24 hours, along with a sleep mode that disables display lighting during overnight use.
The company is also offering a lifetime repair-or-replace warranty for the range, reflecting growing competition among appliance brands to provide longer-term after-sales support as consumers increasingly look for durable home products rather than short-term seasonal appliances.
The Caldo Plus series is available at The Good Guys.
