Smeg has expanded its small appliance range with the release of its 50’s Style Hand Blender in cream, combining vintage-inspired design with modern performance features for everyday kitchen use.
The HBF03CRAU model is powered by a 700-watt motor, offering enough versatility to handle a wide range of tasks from whipping cream to blending dense soups. Users can control speed through a simple dial and button system, with an added turbo function delivering extra power when needed for tougher ingredients or smoother results.
At the centre of the appliance is Smeg’s FlowBlend system, which uses double-pointed stainless steel blades to draw ingredients in and circulate them more effectively. This design aims to improve consistency while reducing uneven textures during blending. A built-in blade guard helps protect cookware and containers from scratches.

The hand blender has been designed with usability in mind, featuring an ergonomic handle with an anti-slip finish for better grip, particularly when working with hot or heavy mixtures. Weighing 3.5 kilograms, the unit offers a solid feel while remaining manageable in use. A 1.5 metre cord is included, along with a wrap feature for easier storage.
Smeg has also included a range of attachments to extend the appliance’s functionality. These include a 1.4 litre Tritan Renew beaker with measurement markings, a compact chopper designed for ingredients such as herbs, nuts and cheese, and a stainless steel balloon whisk for aerating mixtures like cream and egg whites.
Most removable components are dishwasher safe, helping to simplify cleaning, and the appliance is backed by a two-year warranty.
While the design reflects Smeg’s signature retro styling, the focus of the hand blender is on versatility, allowing users to blend, chop and whisk with a single appliance.
