Midea has introduced a new dishwasher to the Australian market that focuses on making everyday kitchen tasks easier, particularly for people who struggle with bending and lifting.
The standout feature is a motorised lower basket that rises by up to 25 centimetres at the press of a button. Designed to bring dishes closer to waist height, the system aims to reduce physical strain when loading and unloading plates, cookware and cutlery. The basket can support loads of up to 18 kilograms.

Beyond its accessibility focus, the dishwasher includes a range of efficiency and convenience features. It carries a 5.5-star water rating and a 4.5-star energy rating, helping to keep running costs under control. Midea’s Spacemaster interior design also increases usable capacity by providing additional internal height compared with many standard 60cm dishwashers.
Other functions include Dual Zone Wash, allowing users to clean either the upper or lower basket independently, and an Auto Wash mode that adjusts settings according to how dirty the dishes are. ActiveOpen Dry automatically opens the door slightly at the end of a cycle to improve drying performance.

The appliance also incorporates hygiene-focused technologies, including specialised sanitising programs and odour-control features. Midea says the dishwasher is engineered for long-term durability, with an expected lifespan of up to 15 years.
The Midea Easy Lift Dishwasher is available now with a recommended retail price of $1,269.
